Young people find solutions to the plastic problems

Ungt Entreprenørskap is increasing awareness of plastic-related issues among lower secondary school pupils through the project “Less Plastic Student Company”. Pupils learn about the circular plastics economy and develop their own solutions to reduce the use of plastic and plastic carrier bags, in collaboration with teachers, businesses and environmental organisations. The project is part of Ungt Entreprenørskap’s broader initiative to create the value creators of the future by giving children and young people practical entrepreneurial experience.

Proud partner

The Norwegian Retailers' Environment Fund is a proud partner of Ungt Entreprenørskap and believes that engagement among young people is crucial in the fight against plastic litter.

“The older generation has created a number of environmental challenges related to plastic that young people have to live with. Young people look at this through a completely different lens and give us exactly what we are looking for: a different approach and new, innovative solutions,” says Cecilie Lind, CEO of The Norwegian Retailers' Environment Fund.

Lind emphasises that the youth perspective is absolutely essential to solving the challenges facing society, and that initiatives such as this provide both knowledge, scope for action and hope for the future.
